Why does packaging matter for Amazon FBA?
Amazon has strict packaging requirements. If your product doesn't comply, you face penalties, rejections, or inventory destruction. In 2026, with the end of FBA Prep, you (or your prep center) are 100% responsible.
Poly bag: when and how to use it
When: loose products, textiles, items with separable parts, products that can get dirty.
Amazon requirements:
Bubble wrap: protection for fragile products
When: glass, ceramics, electronics, any product that can be damaged by impacts.

Boxes: sizes and requirements
Amazon accepts standard boxes:

Rules: max weight 50 lbs, don't use damaged boxes, use dunnage to fill empty space.
Bundles and kits
If you sell multi-unit packs, they must be packaged together so they can't be separated. Each bundle needs its own FNSKU label.
